A Free Hand > Public installation and participatory performance > Toronto > Jouez: Festival of Participatory Art > 2017

A Free Hand is a participatory installation inviting individuals to engage with the public as a ‘free hand’ -- a free-floating hand emerging from a fitted aperture in a wall – while offering balloons, pieces of candy, or handshakes, A Free Hand is an exercise in public trust and generosity as much as it is a performance of surrealist play with the symbols of everyday life and gestures of affection.
